The Eerie World of Dark Fall

Welcome to Dowerton; a once picturesque rural village, hidden away in the English countryside. Like many villages, Dowerton has been tainted by modernity and failure; sallow youths hide in the shadows, loosing there minds to chemical slime, others simply disappear into the woods, never to be seen again, while the elders of the village hide indoors, all too aware of the darkness that lurks outside.
What has happened to Dowerton? The once grand Train Station was the heart of the community, but only the very brave, or the very stupid, now approach the place, which slips further into dereliction with each passing day. Adjoining the Station, is the Victorian-era Station Hotel.
Once a haven for weary travellers and adulterous lovers, the hotel is now in ruins. Rot, decay and time are tearing the place to pieces...leaving you very little time. For you will be entering the old Hotel at Dowerton, one last time, to learn the secret of the Dark Fall.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat is coming in February 2010

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat takes PC gamers once again into the deadly area surrounding the Chernobyl nuclear reactor explosion of 1986. Cordoned off by the military, this highly contaminated “Zone” is scoured by treasure hunters known as s.t.a.l.k.e.r.s, who search the irradiated lands for unique artifacts. In the role of Agent Alexander Degtyarev, the player must go undercover as a S.T.A.L.K.E.R., investigating the mysterious disappearance of five military helicopters while standing against various S.T.A.L.K.E.R. groups.
Using the time-tested X-Ray graphic engine developed by GSC, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat skilfully combines first-person shooter action with role-playing elements in a realistic post-atomic world. The grim realities of this deadly environment are underscored by the many desolate industrial ruins, reproduced using aerial pictures and the developers’ own photographs. Mutants, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. groups, and lethal anomalies are everywhere, posing a constant threat to the player. The thrilling story is advanced through numerous quests, taking gamers through such diverse areas as a secret military base, the Jupiter factory site, and the titular city of Pripyat. The player decides how far to explore and which tasks they undertake – freedom determines the gameplay. Other S.T.A.L.K.E.R. groups respond to the player in a friendly or hostile manner, depending on the group to which they belong. In this ever-dangerous world, the player is supported by various weapon systems and upgrades, as well as several types of equipment.

SSRL Opens 2007 CUP Series Registration

SSRL CUP Series Registration is now open for the upcoming season of online racing. The field is currently wide open and the server is ready to host up to 35+ drivers. If you are looking for a clean, hard racing online experience look no further. Our League schedule has been posted and we will kick off the 07 CUP Season August 26 with a Sunday Night Shootout at California Speedway. The official scoring season starts the following Sunday evening September 2. The SSRL season will run 12 races with the final point calculated with each drivers best 11 of the 12 races.
We look forward to our seventh season of SSRL NASCAR racing. So clear that schedule, tell your friends, bolt up that wheel and lets go racing!!!

SSRL CTS Series Registration is now open for the upcoming season of online racing. The field is currently wide open and the server is ready to host up to 35+ drivers. If you are looking for a clean, hard racing online experience look no further. Our League schedule has been posted and we will kick off the 07 CTS Season Feburary 11 with a Sunday Night Shootout at Daytona International Speedway. The official scoring season starts the following Sunday evening Feburary 18. The SSRL season will run 14 races with the final point calculated with each drivers best 11 of the 12 races.
We look forward to our seventh season of SSRL NASCAR racing. So clear that schedule, tell your friends, bolt up that wheel and lets go racing!!!

SSRL To Host Multi-League Race

The SSRL (Shamika Server Racing League) and CORS (Central Ontario Racing Series) are working out the details for a multi-league race at Daytona. In the spirit of the SSRL’s Darkfish Interview on CBC Freestyle earlier this year, these cross border online racing leagues are hooking up to host a single closed server race for league members. Complete details will be forth coming and published here in the forums, website and via email. An official date has been set for Saturday June 24, 2006.
Early estimates indicate the potential of 30+ drivers attending this event. So mark your calendar and get ready for a great race. All drivers of the SSRL will be receiving an official announcement via email.
So get ready boys as the server will be setup for a full week of practice after this weeks Sunday Night Shootout at Michigan.
