BF1942 Road to Rome

Has anyone bought this or any expansion pack for BF1942. If so, isit some thing I sould go buy? What features does it add? How much new gear is there? I might go buy it this afternoon.

The Road to Rome Expansion pack loads up more maps and different weapons. I don't see much difference otherwise from Battlefield 1942. If you want a greater selection of arena's then it is worth the money otherwise I would say you could do without. I bought it myself and seldom use it. I did get on a few servers just to try it out. The servers for Road to Rome have a red, white and green circle if you see it. Desert Combat has a helmet next to it. Battlefield doesn't have anything but the server names usually have BF in the name. Just in case you were curious.

It has a few good maps, but not much else. I think a bit over priced for what you get. BUT ... people talk bad about tha AI in this game ... I think that as a solo or coop gig, it ain't bad. Do enjoy the Infantry using Armor for back up intelligently. There are a few maps/missions in R2R that really are a hoot (never mind you are a cowardly Frenchman ... I am surprised there is no SURRENDER command in the add on tho :eek: ). I have also really liked some of the user made maps you can get for free.

Hopefully will hop onto Shamika in teh next day or so once I get through the work and personal e-mails from a week haitus.
